Marlon Kareem Wilson has been a member of Travelers Fellowship Baptist Church since the age of eight. He has been involved in the Ushers, the choir, Sunday school and very active in the Youth Ministry.
In 1999 he yielded to the Lord's voice to preach the Gospel. On December 12, 2000, Marlon preached his initial sermon. Pastor Payne placed him over the Youth Ministry, where he instituted new services, a Youth Bible Study and a Drama Ministry.
Pastor Payne recognized that Marlon was faithful and also doing the work of the Lord, and ordained him on October 23. 2005. He became the first Youth Pastor of Travelers Fellowship Baptist Church.
Later that year Marlon formed an outreach ministry called "River of Life", where the members of Travelers would take the Word of God to the nursing homes, shelters, prisons and the streets. Other than the Youth Ministry, teaching Bible Study to those who are incarcerated is Marlon's greatest passion.
On June 12, 2008, Travelers called Marlon to be the Pastor. Since then the church has grown tremendously both spiritually and numerically. He has also implemented programs and ministries such as Hair Cuts for the Community, Adopt- A- Family for thanksgiving, and Book bag drive. He works with the Middlesex County Probation to allow individuals to come and gain hours by doing work around the church.
The church name was changed from Travelers Fellowship Community Church, Pastor Marlon wanted to put more emphasizes on serving and giving to the community, than having meaningless programs. He references Matt. 25:34-40 to support his vision God gave him for the church.
Marlon attended the Central Bible Institute for two years and also Somerset Christian College. Marlon is married to First Lady Keena Wilson and together they have two children Christopher and Madison.
